What you missed so far!

So I know it has been forever since I have been on here and updated Kyle and I's life. We have been so busy but I am doing it now so here is a recap of our lives from August to the end of September. October to Christmas will be next so keep checking!! It starts with our amazing adventure from Florida back to Arizona! Enjoy.
If you didn't know Kyle and I moved from Utah to Florida in May. We were planning on staying for a year or so but in July I unexpectedly got a call from a school that I had been waiting to get into. They had one spot left on the waiting list for the Nuclear Medicine program and with excitement and disappointment we accepted. In August we started our journey back across the states. We took about 5 days to travel back stopping in different places to enjoy our beautiful country. It was so worth it. We loved seeing all these places. We will surely miss Florida.
Our Zoo friend in Florida.

So green!!

Ha Ha didn't really stop for this shot but we were there!!!

Across the Wetlands!!

New Orleans! Crazy packed city. Pretty neat to see though.

This is St Louis Cathedral. It was beautiful.

The Lone Star State!!! So long to drive through!

We finally made it back to AZ!

100 years old!

On September 23, 2010 my Grandmama on my mother's side turned 100 years young! The day after that was my 22nd birthday. My wonderful husband bought me a ticket to North Carolina for my birthday to go to my Grandmother's birthday party. I had a great time visiting with her and family. I miss her a lot. She is such a wonderful woman. Such a great example to me in every way possible. I love you Grandmama and thanks for everything!!!

Key West

A few weeks ago Kyle and I took a last minute trip to Key West. We drove all the way to the island and stayed at a really nice Marriott right on the beach. We got there right in time for this beautiful sunset. It was nice and cool so we sat on the dock and watched the sun go down it was so pretty.
Amazing!

Cuba anyone?

We were actually only 90 miles from Cuba. Crazy! We also got to ride jet skis around the whole island on a 2 1/2 hour tour it was beautiful. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures because our guide said that it would get wet. So I'm really sad that I don't have those pictures but we were at one point only 88 miles from Cuba when were were on the tour. Neat huh?

I never once thought I would ever be in Florida or even close to Cuba but I am so grateful for a spontaneous husband who wants to do all these things I never thought I would do. He is a wonderful husband and so fun. We love road trips and seeing new things. Thanks Babe for always planning fun and exciting trips for us. I love you....you are the best!!

NEW CAR!!!

This was my first car. It was an Isuzu Axiom and a great car. I will miss it so so much.

But now I have a new car that is so cute and Kyle and I love to drive it is so fun. We will be driving this all the way back to Arizona!! We are going to have so much fun!!! Isn't this the cutest car you have ever seen. It is a 2010 Kia Soul. We love it.

Our 4th of July

I love the 4th of July holiday. It is possibly my favorite. I miss being Heber for it but still it was a great holiday. Kyle unfortunately had to work that night but I was able to go out on Marco Island where he works to watch the fireworks. When I got there Kyle had found an empty room that had a balcony looking out to the ocean right where the fireworks were launching. There were so many boats out on the water it was so cool to see them when the fireworks would go off. I will have to say they weren't the best fireworks but it was pretty cool to see them over the water.

I would like to say thank you to those who serve our country now and in the past and those who have died for it. I have a greater respect for those who serve and their families. It is tough and probably tougher than I can even imagine. I am so proud to know that I live in a free country where we believe and practice freedom and even with our problems we still find hope. I am so grateful for the courage in my own family with a brother that serves in the military and my father who is now running for the Arizona House of Representatives to make this country better. Thank you!

BIG news for the Kartchners!!!

NO NO NO we are not going to be having a baby! I know you were thinking it. But...We are moving again...across the country again...back to the wonderful Arizona. I recently got a phone call and was accepted in the Nuclear Medicine Technologist program at Gateway Community College in Phoenix. This phone call was very unexpected but we are so grateful that it came. I will be starting school the middle of August and the program goes for a consecutive 21 months.
We are very sad to be leaving Florida. We have really enjoyed being in this beautiful place. We love the beach and also have enjoyed being all on our own. We will miss it here but we know we are making a great decision to go back to AZ. We will see everyone soon!!!

We love the RODEO!

Kyle and I were fortunate enough to go to the PBR (Professional Bull Riding) here in Florida in June. We had a blast and we were on the front row!!! My husband is amazing!! Thanks Babe!

Front Row!! Right in the beginning they lit the arena on fire. Kyle and I couldn't figure out what it was suppose to say. Untill......

Yep we went up a little higher and closer to the bulls and saw what the flames were all about. PBR baby!!!

OUR HOUSE...I know it's late.

Our beautiful condo. Our first place together...sadly only for 3 months.

It was so fun to decorate it .

The condo was really nice and it was fully furnished which was awesome! It was on the ground floor with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths! Just perfect.

Our six month anniversary trip to Orlando and Cape Canaveral!
So Kyle and I decided to take a trip up to Orlando for our anniversary. We took the long way there to explore our new home. Kyle and I first stopped just outside of Orlando and walked around Downtown Disney and we both decided we needed to come back again when it wasn't so hot. We then went and checked in to our motel and got ready to go to the Temple. When we got there we were very suprised to find that the temple was closed due to spring cleaning. Well we were very disappointed but know that we will make another trip soon. We then went to dinner at Chile's and had a great time. The night ended with a walk around the town and then to bed so we could get up early and beat the traffic to the launch site. Well we left the hotel around 7:30 a.m. and found our way to our spot on the dock which we camped out for 5 hours until the 30 sec launch took place right across from us. Well it was a very memorable anniversary and we loved spending so much time together on the dock just talking and waiting. I want to thank Kyle for planning our adventure and being such a great husband. He is my best friend and I can't wait for many many many more fun adventures with him. Thanks babe! Happy Anniversary!

On our way to Orlando we took a side trip and went to Downtown Disney. It was fun to walk around but it was way too hot to stay long.

The beautiful Orlando Temple. We were going to go in for our anniversary but it was closed due to some heavy spring cleaning. So we will attend the next time we drive 4 hours up there.

This is us on the dock across from the launch site. Where we got so sunburned I might add.

Here is a video of the Shuttle Launch we saw from across the bay of Cape Canaveral. I hope this works it is my first video load and I hope you can hear and see it because it was awesome!!!

Trip to San Francisco

Kyle and I decided to take a road trip to San Francisco the end of February. We got there and it was raining so we decided to stay in the hotel and not get soaked. The next morning was our activity day and the rain had cleared and it was beautiful weather. First we walked around the ports found breakfast at a cute little cafe then started our adventure to Alcatraz.

Here is Alcatraz Island that we got to tour. It was amazing and kinda scary at some points.

(Below) Kyle is in the solitary cell. He looks scared huh?... He is listening to the tour and how they just closed the door and only let the prisoners out once a week to shower. Crazy!!

After Alcatraz we had a bite to eat and headed to the Aquarium of the Bay. Here is Kyle making friends with the star fish at the aquarim of the bay.

Amazing colorful starfish!

Super fun time at the aquarium. There was a place at the end that you could touch the sting rays and Kyle was having a blast. As for me, I was just fine taking the pictures.

And of course our trip would not be complete without the famous trolly car ride up and down the hills of San Francisco. They were so fun but stopped in the middle of the street and was kinda scary but still fun. We rode these to China town and to our night fun watching the play Wicked.

Here is Kyle in China town with his monkey friends. Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil

This was the highlight of my vacation. Kyle got us tickets to see Wicked at the theatre. It was so amazing and just as good if not better the second time around. I recommend it to anyone!!

On our way home we went to the famous Golden Gate Bridge. It was amazing to see and get to walk across. I loved the background of it for our pictures.

The Amazing Golden Gate Bridge

Valentine's Day!!

So, this is our first Valentine's Day as a married couple. We took a trip to Salt Lake City where we went to the temple, stayed in a wonderful Marriot thanks to Kyle's work and then a nice dinner at amazing Tucanos. It was a wonderful day that we were able to spend together and I thank my wonderful husband for planning it all. I love you babe!
Here are some pics from the dinner....
