KYLE AND KATIE KARTCHNER

After getting settled in Arizona we decided to take a trip to the state capitol. We looked inside and walked around the memorials it was all very interesting. We also were able to go into the House of Reps. We went while my dad was still campaigning for the District 5 rep. (He won just so you know and pictures of that event are soon to come) We then ventured over to the mining museum where Kyle was in heaven with all the big machines. It was still warm outside so after the museum we went home to get cooled off.

Tucson!

So in December my very sweet and amazing husband took me to Tucson for a vacation. He needed to get out and so did I. I had just finished my very first semester of school and also we hadn't celebrated for our one year anniversary. So my very smart husband planned an amazing trip to Tucson for both of us and for both reasons. Neither of us had been to Tucson and really wanted to see it. We stayed in the JW Marriot Star Pass. It was unbelievable. Kyle scheduled me a massage for the first day and then we went out to eat at a local steakhouse called Daisy Mae's. It was really good. The next day we traveled to Kartchner Caverns and then to Tombstone. It was a very busy but fun day. We went back to the hotel, ordered room service and relaxed from our eventful day. The next morning Kyle had planned to see the Xavier Mission and drive to the top of Mt. Lemmon. I have never seen him so excited. He loved driving on the steep winding road. The vacation was a blast! We didn't want to come home. Here are some photos for your enjoyment!

Our vacation begins....Now!

This is mainly for my Dad. Go Wildcats!!!

Yay! Something with our name on it (sorry its turned)!!! This place was amazing! I wish I could have taken pictures inside.

Kyle and I were walking along the sidewalk in Tombstone and saw this in a doorway and just thought it was funny. Thought I would share.

We went to visit the San Xavier Del Bac Mission just south of Tucson. This place was packed so we didn't get to look inside.

What you missed so far!

So I know it has been forever since I have been on here and updated Kyle and I's life. We have been so busy but I am doing it now so here is a recap of our lives from August to the end of September. October to Christmas will be next so keep checking!! It starts with our amazing adventure from Florida back to Arizona! Enjoy.
If you didn't know Kyle and I moved from Utah to Florida in May. We were planning on staying for a year or so but in July I unexpectedly got a call from a school that I had been waiting to get into. They had one spot left on the waiting list for the Nuclear Medicine program and with excitement and disappointment we accepted. In August we started our journey back across the states. We took about 5 days to travel back stopping in different places to enjoy our beautiful country. It was so worth it. We loved seeing all these places. We will surely miss Florida.
Our Zoo friend in Florida.

So green!!

Ha Ha didn't really stop for this shot but we were there!!!

Across the Wetlands!!

New Orleans! Crazy packed city. Pretty neat to see though.

This is St Louis Cathedral. It was beautiful.

The Lone Star State!!! So long to drive through!

We finally made it back to AZ!

100 years old!

On September 23, 2010 my Grandmama on my mother's side turned 100 years young! The day after that was my 22nd birthday. My wonderful husband bought me a ticket to North Carolina for my birthday to go to my Grandmother's birthday party. I had a great time visiting with her and family. I miss her a lot. She is such a wonderful woman. Such a great example to me in every way possible. I love you Grandmama and thanks for everything!!!

Key West

A few weeks ago Kyle and I took a last minute trip to Key West. We drove all the way to the island and stayed at a really nice Marriott right on the beach. We got there right in time for this beautiful sunset. It was nice and cool so we sat on the dock and watched the sun go down it was so pretty.
Amazing!

Cuba anyone?

We were actually only 90 miles from Cuba. Crazy! We also got to ride jet skis around the whole island on a 2 1/2 hour tour it was beautiful. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures because our guide said that it would get wet. So I'm really sad that I don't have those pictures but we were at one point only 88 miles from Cuba when were were on the tour. Neat huh?

I never once thought I would ever be in Florida or even close to Cuba but I am so grateful for a spontaneous husband who wants to do all these things I never thought I would do. He is a wonderful husband and so fun. We love road trips and seeing new things. Thanks Babe for always planning fun and exciting trips for us. I love you....you are the best!!

NEW CAR!!!

This was my first car. It was an Isuzu Axiom and a great car. I will miss it so so much.

But now I have a new car that is so cute and Kyle and I love to drive it is so fun. We will be driving this all the way back to Arizona!! We are going to have so much fun!!! Isn't this the cutest car you have ever seen. It is a 2010 Kia Soul. We love it.
